About the Tattoo

I received my tattoo from Miyazo in Osaka, Neyagawa City.

I asked Miyazo to design something with waves and flowers. It took 4 days, 4 hours per day. I will return to Miyazo in the spring of 2011 to continue with my tattoo.

Reasons for Getting the Tattoo

I Have always dreamed of visiting Japan and getting tattooed by a real master. I love the colors in my tattoo. Black is very popular now but I like color. Miyazo designed it just for me. It is only the beginning. I intend to have my entire back tattooed by

Miyazo. he has a very light touch.

Advice

  • I communicated with 2 other tattoo artists in Japan before I communicated with Miyazo. I knew he was the one because I felt very comfortable with him. He is a gentle man. One artist I contacted was very old and ridgid in his tradition and procedure. He was gruff and I was not comfortable. Another artist did traditional art using Tabori. I decided it was too painful for the amount of tatooing I wanted done in a limited time. Miyazo is younger and more contemporary. he does traditional too.
  • My advise is to be sure you are comfortable with the artist, and trust their work.
  • Will they design what you want?
