JR Hokkaido Rail Pass

Types/Prices:
  • 3 days - 14,000 yen (for ordinary car use only) / 20,000 yen
  • Flexible 4-day pass - 18,000 yen (for ordinary car use only) / 25,000 yen (for green car use)
    *choose 4 days within 10 days from the exchanged date.
  • 5 days - 18,000 yen (for ordinary car use only) / 25,000 yen (for green car use)
    *Child (age 6-11) - half prices
    Validity:
    Unlimited use of JR Hokkaido trains and some JR Hokkaido buses.
    Eligibility:
    Foreign tourists with the temporary visitor status of 15 days or 90 days.
    Conditions:
    Extra charges are required to use sleeping cars.
    How to Obtain the Pass:
    This pass can be purchased in both Japan and overseas.
    You can purchase an exchange order overseas and exchange it for a JR Hokkaido Rail Pass after entering Japan at JR Sapporo Station, ShinChitose Airport Station, or JR Travel Service Centers in Hokkaido.
    To purchase a JR Hokkaido Rail Pass in Japan, go to a JR Hokkaido Travel Service Centers, JR Hokkaido Visitors Information Desk, and so on.
    Notes:
    You must exchange your exchange order for a pass within 3 months after purchasing the order.
    You can reserve a Hokkaido Rail Pass in advance. Pick up your pass at the JR Hokkaido Visitors Information Desk in JR Sapporo Station or Shin Chitose Airport Station.
