Price:
Two types of Japan Rail Pass are available.
  • For superior-class green cars
    7 days - 37,800 yen (adult) / 18,900 yen (child)
    14 days - 61,200 yen (adult) / 30,600 yen (child)
    21 days - 79,600 yen (adult) / 39,800 yen (child)

  • For ordinary cars
    7 days - 28,300 yen (adult) / 14,150 yen (child)
    14 days - 45,100 yen (adult) / 22,550 yen (child)
    21 days - 57,700 yen (adult) / 28,850 yen (child)
Validity:
Unlimited use of JR Shinkansen trains (except Shinkansen Nozomi trains), JR limited express trains, JR express trains, JR local trains, JR local buses, some JR highway buses, and JR Miyajima ferry.
Eligibility:
Foreign tourists with temporary visitor status which allows a stay of 15 or 90 days.
Japanese nationals who are legal residents of foreign countries or who are married to a resident of a foreign country.
Conditions:
Only one person who signed the pass can use the pass.
You should You need to carry your passport while you are traveling.
How to Obtain the Pass:
You must purchase an exchange order at JR authorized agencies overseas before you enter Japan. You can't purchase a Japan Rail Pass inside Japan.
After entering Japan, exchange the exchange order for a Japan Rail Pass at Japan Rail Pass exchange offices. You need to fill in an application form and must show your passport with your visa.
How to Get a Japan Rail Pass
Notes:
An exchage order must be exchanged for a Japan Rail Pass within three months after the order was issued.
