The palace (kyuden) consists of seven buildings such as Seiden, Homeiden, Chowaden, and more. Emperor is not actually living in the buildings. It's used for national ceremonies and events. Chowaden is the longest building in the palace. The Matsunotou Tower is used for lighting.
