It's said that Sendai Tanabata Festival is the best tanabata festival in Japan. Sendai tanabata decorations are made with Japanese washi papers and bamboos.

Festival Events:

  • Sendai Tanabata Firework Displays at Nishikoen Park on August 5 from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Stage performences at the Jozenji street on August 6-8 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Stage performences at the Shiminhiroba Square on August 6-8 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Light up night events at Zuihoden on August 6-8 from 7 p.m.- 9 p.m.
