Notes:
Himeji Castle is a Japanese National Treasure and also is listed as the World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. It's known as the most beautiful castle in Japan. Himeji Castle is called as shirasagi-jo (white heron castle) because of the white walls. The castle was originally built in 1333, and it has been preserved well. The view of the city from the top of the donjon is spectacular.
There are about 1,000 sakura trees in the area. It's one of the best places to see cherry blossoms in Japan.
