Sakura (cherry blossom) is a symbolic flower of Japan. Sakura viewing (hanami) has been a Japanese custom since the 7th century when the aristocrats enjoyed viewing beautiful sakura and wrote poems. Sakura trees are planted all over in Japan, and the country is filled with beautiful cherry blossoms in spring. Plan a trip to Japan during sakura season. It will be a memorable experience for you.
