Cherry blossoms in Takada Koen Park are known as the best ones to view at night. About 3,000 paper lanterns are hung, and the Takada castle tower and cherry blossoms in about 4,000 sakura trees are illuminated. Hundreds of stalls are set in the park during the cherry blossom festival.
