Edo Tokyo Museum

The Edo Tokyo Museum is located near the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo. It opened in 1993 and features displays on the history and culture of Tokyo.

Ghibli Museum

The Ghibli Museum is located in the Inokashira Park, Mitaka-city. The museum exhibits the process of making animations and presents short animation films. The arts and decorations inside the museum are colorful and fantastic, and both adults and children can have fun spending time in this museum. The Studio Ghibli has been producing famous Japanese animations, including films by a well-known director, Miyazaki Hayao.

The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo

The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo (MOMAT) displays of modern paintings, crafts, films, and more and consists of the Art Museum, the Craft Gallery, and the National Film Center. The Art Museum and Craft Gallery are located in the Kitanomaru Koen Park near the Tokyo Imperial Palace. The main art museum was established in 1952 as the first national museum of art in Japan.
