If you are visiting the Diet building in Tokyo, free guided tours of the House of Councillors are available on weekdays. A tour takes about one hour. A Diet employee explains each facility in the building in Japanese. Even if you don't understand Japanese, it's interesting to see various rooms. It's grea to see the Chamber of the House of Councillors and the gorgeous wall paintings in the main hall.
First, go to the entrance and fill out a form in the reception.
