The Diet of Japan is composed of the upper House of Councillors called sangi-in and the lower House of Representatives called shuugi-in.

The Diet Building was built in 1936. Free tours of the House of councillors are available on weekdays except holidays and during the Diet conference periods. A tour takes about 60 minutes.
Hours: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Last Admission: 4 p.m.)
