Approximately 50 minutes by Keio Line train from Shinjuku Station to Takaosan-guchi Station. Or, go to JR Takao Station by JR Chuo Line train and transfer to the Keio Line and go to Takaosan-guchi Station.Hiking Trails:

Yakuo-in Temple:
Yakuo-in Temple is located halfway up the mountain and can be reached by cable car or by lift. It's founded over 1,200 years ago and attracts many worshippers all year round.Access:
Take the cable car from Kiyotaki Station to Takaosan Station, and 20 minute walk to the temple. Or, take the lift from Sanroku Station to Sanjo Station, and 12 minutes walk to the temple.
