Nagoya Castle
Notes:
Nagoya Castle was built by Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1612. The two golden shachihoko are exhibited on top of the castle tower as its symbols. There are about 1,600 sakura trees in the Meijo Koen Park surrounding the Nagoya Castle. During the annual Nagoya Castle Cherry Blossom Festival, cherry blossoms are illuminated at night and the donjon is open in the evening.
