Takasaki-city Website (Japanese Version)The 41.8m high statue of Kannon called Byakui Kannon (Takasaki Kannon) was built in 1936 on the hill of the Kannon-yama. The Kannon is a symbol of Takasaki-city and attracts many visitors. There are also a botanical garden, museums, a facility to watch wild bird, and more. Also, there are about 3,000 sakura trees in the park and cherry blossoms are illuminated at night when they are in full bloom.
