About Asahiyama Zoo: Asahiyama Zoo is one of the most popular zoos in Japan. They have more than 2 million visitors per year. Asahiyama Zoo is known for its unique facilities and exhibitions which allow visitors to observe interesting characteristics of each species. They consider the best ways to show the animals when they build facilities. For example, there is a cylinder tank set in the seals' facility so that visitors can watch seals swim vertically through the tank up close. Also, visitors walk through a long transparent tunnel in the penguins' pool, watching the penguins swim from all directions. In winter, penguins' parades are held for their exercises, and visitors enjoy watching them.
