Guide Review
My Neighbor Totoro: Japanese Anime
This movie portrays a typical life of people in the countryside of Japan in 1950s. It's interesting to watch how people took a bath, cooked, ate, slept, went to school, and did laundry back then. I recommend this movie for people who are interested in Japanese culture not only for young children.

Main characters in this movie are young sisters, Satsuki and Mei. They meet their imaginary friend, totoro, in the forest and experience magical and fun things with totoro. It's a heart-warming story and is suitable for young children. There is no violence. I have watched this movie many times, but I haven't gotten tired of it yet. The background music and theme songs all match with the scenes very well.
