Phoenix Seagaia Resort is a large resort complex in Miyazaki, Japan. The name Seagaia is a combination of the words "sea" and "gaia", which is Greek for earth. It's located near the pacific ocean on Kyushu region.

Ocean Dome is known as the world's largest indoor water park (300m-100m-38m), with a retractable roof. The air temperature is always kept around 30 degrees C and the water temperature is kept at around 28 degrees C. You can see a picture of Ocean Dome.
*Phoenix Seagaia Resort annouced that Ocean Dome will be closed beginning October 1, 2007.

Seagaia Resort offers amusement facilities, spas, hotels, and more. There are lots of golf courses and tennis courts. You can also visit the Phoenix Zoo.

If you want to stay in Seagaia, Sheraton Grande Ocean Resort is a good choice. It's located in the middle of Seagaia, and the view from the guest rooms is spectaclar.

For access, take the direct buses from either Miyazaki Airport or take local buses from JR Miyazaki Station. It takes less than 30 minutes from there. It takes one and half hours to fly to Miyazaki from Tokyo.
