Japanese Food Replicas

From Shizuko Mishima, About.com GuideSeptember 6, 2010

Many restaurants in Japan display colorful and precise food replicas in their show windows. It's often hard to believe they are fake. As the food replicas are appealing to the eyes so much, you might spend a lot of time in front of the show windows looking at them. Gujo-city in Gifu prefecture is Japan's top food replica producing region. It takes about 2 hours from Nagoya-city via JR and Nagaragawa Railway to Gujo-hachiman. There are many food replica studios, and some of them offer workshops for tourists.
