Free Cafes in Japan

Friday June 19, 2009
There are nice cafes where you can have a plate of rice crackers and drinks, such as coffee, tea, Japanese tea, and juice for free in Japan. The cafes are called Harimaya Station. Harimaya Honten, a long-established Japanese snack maker, opened the cafes to advertise their rice crackers (okaki and senbei) to a wide range of people. You can purchase various rice crackers for souvenirs at the cafes if you would like. They are good places to take a break and to try traditional Japanese snacks.
