Kamakura Ajisai Temple

Ajisai at Meigetsuin Temple Meigetsuin Temple in Kamakura is known as Ajisai Temple and is filled with ajisai flowers (hydrangea) in June. Ajisai is a symbol of rainy season in Japan, and people enjoy viewing colorful ajisai flowers around this time of the year. Ajisai are seen in many temples in Kamakura, including Meigetsuin and Hasedera.
