Mother's Day in Japan

From Shizuko Mishima, About.com GuideMay 6, 2009

Mother's day in Japan is celebrated on the second Sunday in May and is called haha-no-hi. Japanese kids often make cute crafts or draw pictures for their mothers. Carnations are the most popular gifts for Mother's Day, so you see lots of colorful flowers sold in supermarkets around this time of the year.
