Do You Want to Try Fugu?

Friday November 7, 2008
Osaka Fugu Restaurant Fugu (blow fish) is a widely-consumed delicacy in Japan. Do you consider eating fugu? Only licensed chefs are allowed to cook fugu dishes, so it's safe to eat them at fugu restaurants in Japan. Although fugu dishes tend to be expensive in specialized fugu restaurants, there are many reasonably priced places. Zuboraya in Osaka is a fugu restaurant chain famous for its large fugu lanterns hang outside the restaurants. Tecchiri (fugu hot pot) is a popular dish served in Zuboraya. If want to try fugu in Osaka, it's a place to go.

Yes, I’ve tried fugo and I love it. I was just reading your articles about ski resorts in Japan, especially in Hakuba. Do you have any further suggestions in terms of which hotels to stay in? I’m guessing that Happo One is the area that we should go - (it’s a family trip). Thanks!
