Japanese Capsule Hotels What are capsule hotels? They are unique accommodations developed in Japan. In capsule hotels, each guest sleeps in a small space (capsule) which is about 3 feet by 4 feet by 6 feet. There are often large public baths or sauna in the hotels. It's a cheap accommodation, and usually Japanese business men who couldn't go home stay there. In recent year, capsule hotels have become popular among foreign travelers.
