Wanting to Teach in Japan

Friday August 10, 2007
A member of Japan for Visitors forum asks, "I would love to travel to Japan and teach English, however I found out that a person would need to have a degree. Is that true? Because I am 19 and withdrew from college to have a break from school and travel. Also I will be able to have a certificate from oxford seminars, is that a good thing?"
Suggestions?

Below is what I found on the website of NOVA (an English language school in Japan). so this is NOVA’s qualification. I don’t know if other schools have different level of qualifications (although I doubt that).

You must have completed 12 years of school education in the language you wish to teach.

For all positions you’ll need to have, or be expecting to receive, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university. All majors are welcome to apply.
