Japanese Schools and Homestays

"I am looking to be visiting Japan for approximately 3-5months and would be very eager to attend a school to help me learn japanese much faster. Can anyone please recommend a good school? Also, and more importantly, can anyone help me in finding out about homestays with traditional japanese families?" Suggestions?
